My Lovely Birthday

Today is my birthday and I have had such a lovely time, my whole family met at my mum’s and we did her garden, it was what I wanted to do.

Mum was laying around on her bed as she had a fall yesterday and her back was aching, so we all took care of her, we left her in bed all snuggy.

We cut the grass and came across a hedgehog hiding under a load of leaves, he had the cutest little face, KJ picked him up and moved him across the garden and he trotted off behind the bushes and the shed.

We cut all the bushes back and trimmed the edges, it looked right nice when we were finished.

I got 2 birthday cakes, a white chocolate cake and a milk chocolate cake, mmm very yummy, I got lots of money, so I will buy myself a little present on my next holiday, looking forward to that.

We were planning our next holiday, four of us will be going and we want to go to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and New York, there are a lot of places we want to visit in USA, but it takes a while to save up for those holidays, but looking forward to it.

That’s my day it was lovely to be with my whole family, I love them dearly, my birthday is nearly over now, another year older and another year wiser so they say…

Today Was A Burn Out

Well I gave my mum the twiddle muff today and she really liked it and it bought a little smile to her face.

She thought it would look good on her feet as they are always very cold, so on her foot it went and her little toes had the bobble wrapped around it lol.

So these were my aims today:

  • twiddle muff – great success, mum loved it and all of it’s bits and pieces, so that was well worth making and I enjoyed making it so much
  • grass – my jobs today were in the garden, mum’s gardener had health problems and he isn’t coming back so I cut the grass today using a flymo. It was a lovely bright sunny day today, a bit windy but that’s ok, I mowed the back lawn then used the strimmer on the edges all was going well. I started mowing the front lawn then all of a sudden the lawnmower caught fire OMG, there was thick smoke coming from it, so I quickly pulled the plug out and eventually it stopped smoking, we have to buy a new one now.

So apart from the burn out, I really enjoyed today it was lovely…

Goals For May

Well I haven’t been crafting today, I thought I would just chat about all kinds, there surely is a lot going on in my mind right now…

Isn’t he magnificent

Stay Focused

Inspiration: My friend has just run the London Marathon, she only started running last year and when she crossed the finish line she didn’t look like she was out of breath, she looked like she could keep running, amazing, it has totally inspired me to think that if we really want to do something we can if we really stick with it.

Dentist: I have been seeing the dentist since last October with pain in my teeth. I keep having fillings and they just keep falling out, so at last I am going to have a cap tomorrow, first I have to get a cap then go back another time and get the final cap, hopefully I won’t get anymore trouble with my teeth as they are driving me mad, the pain feels like electricity going up through my gums.

Mum: I took my mum to the supermarket yesterday and her legs were really wobbly so she sat in a wheelchair which had the basket on the back for the shopping, it was a heavy bulky thing with dodgy wheels so when I pushed it forward it went either left or right, as a result, I can hardly move today, I ache all over, the joys of shopping.

May: I hope May will be a good month, we have a bank holiday this weekend so KJ will be off work on Monday, looking forward to that, if the weather is good, we will probably have a BBQ in the garden and grab a bit of vitamin D from the sun.

So my goals for the merry month of May are:

Crochet:

  1. crochet a bunny blankie
  2. crochet a white dress with pink edging
  3. crochet some new crochet stitches as swatches and do a Sunday wash
  4. crochet a little hat for baby Jayne (the doll)

Well there are four things, I am not good at getting my goals finished, but I will try hard to do these four, that’s only 1 per week, not a lot really, shouldn’t be too hard, wish me luck with that.

I will put a list of my goals in the right hand column then I will see them often and I will probably add a few more to the list.

Happy Days!
